PowerBall: Record-Breaking Lottery

By the beginning of 2016 PowerBall's jackpot was already set to break the world jackpot record held by MegaMillions. By the middle of the first week it had already smashed that record and went on to become the first jackpot in history to exceed a billion dollars. That weekend, despite an unprecedented level of interest, the jackpot rolled over again, now climbing to over a billion pounds!

Finally, on the 13th of January the jackpot was won. There were three winning tickets in total, one from California, one from Florida and a third from Tennessee. All three winners therefore shared in the epic jackpot.

The winning numbers were 4-8-19-27-34. The Powerball number was 10.
